On courageous discipline
I can run 1 hour straight without feeling tired. But I must learn to stop myself from doing so because it is not the way nor time to do so.
It´s hard to have this kind of discipline. It´s even harder to endure the high levels it demands at each moment.
We know we have the ability and capacity to stay up all night when we are young, athletes know they can exercise more than 4 hours a day without feeling drained, and writers know they can keep writing all day long to ensure those 40,000 words.
But it´s not what we think we can do, it´s what we should. And having this mentality rooted in us is far more competitive and unique than any other price tag in our lives.
On painting the scene
Look at the full picture.
Do you know who else is having problems right now? Who else is suffering? Who else is doubting about tomorrow?
Everyone. Each of us is facing demons we can´t even comprehend.
So do not expect kindness from the world, be that kindness that the world needs. Be the one strong enough to see beauty in darkness, and to share magic where there´s none.
Be brave enough to accept what is but be bold enough to want what could be.
Be a better human.
On embracing uncertainty
Our past teaches us lessons, but these lessons won´t produce new ones, not even if applied. We create new ones through uncertainty.
What brought you here, won´t get you there.
The people you knew… won’t get you there.
The memories you had… won´t bring you a better future.
You need your past, but your past doesn´t need you. Keep that promise for your future.
Ah, just one more thing, if you want to continue improving and nourishing your purpose, your soul, your focus, and overall, your presence of mind, join me and a deep community of learners that aim to construct a life on intention and depth of mindset and heart.
We´ll chat later on this week´s life brew, so stay tuned for that. As always…
